I’ve known Lawrence Lee for many years — as a close friend, a business colleague, and someone I deeply respect. While we haven’t worked together in a day-to-day setting, we’ve partnered and connected often through business and community involvement, and I’ve always appreciated the perspective and wisdom he brings to the table. He’s one of those people I know I can call anytime, and I often do.
Over the years, I’ve learned a lot from Lawrence — not just about business, finances or strategy, but about leadership, community, and character. He understands how things work, but more importantly, he understands people.
Lawrence has lived in Red Deer his whole life. He doesn’t just know this city — he genuinely loves it. That love shows up in how he listens, how he leads, and how he makes space for people from all backgrounds to feel heard and valued. He’s not trying to be a politician; he’s trying to be a good neighbor who can help make our city better.
What I’ve always admired is how grounded he is. Lawrence brings a thoughtful, steady presence wherever he goes. He’s a family man, someone with strong values, and a calm confidence that puts people at ease. He knows when to speak, when to listen, and when to roll up his sleeves and do the work.
I’ve supported Lawrence in his past city council campaigns, and I believe he’d make a great mayor — not just because of his experience, but because of who he is. Red Deer needs a leader who cares, who understands this community, and who can bring people together to build something better. Lawrence is that kind of leader.
Having been part of the Red Deer business community for over 30 years, and now serving in a leadership role in one of the city’s larger churches, I’m mindful of the trust people place in those who represent them. I wouldn’t share this if I didn’t believe in Lawrence’s ability to lead with integrity, compassion, and vision.
